Sagarmatha Dialogue 2025 Declaration – 25 Commitments

25 Commitments to Tackle the Climate Crisis:

  1. 🌿 Immediate action to limit global temperature rise within 1.5°C.
  2. 🌿 Encouraging ambitious emission reduction targets through NDCs 3.0 (Nationally Determined Contributions).
  3. 🌿 Formulation and implementation of national adaptation plans addressing each country’s needs.
  4. 🌿 Providing grants and concessional financial support to developing countries for climate action.
  5. 🌿 Promoting partnerships to ensure simple, fair, and accessible climate finance.
  6. 🌿 Establishing special funds for mountainous countries and mobilizing targeted resources.
  7. 🌿 Recognizing, respecting, and ensuring fair benefits of mountain ecosystem services.
  8. 🌿 Expanding climate action through private sector investment and carbon markets.
  9. 🌿 Strengthening global and regional cooperation for climate-friendly technologies and capacity building.
  10. 🌿 Encouraging collaboration among policymakers, scientists, private sector, and stakeholders.
  11. 🌿 Focusing on green, resilient, and inclusive infrastructure development in rural and urban areas.
  12. 🌿 Promoting clean energy, energy efficiency, and just transitions.
  13. 🌿 Protecting glaciers, forests, water sources, and agricultural systems through science- and innovation-based solutions.
  14. 🌿 Giving special attention to the triple planetary crisis and short-lived climate pollutants.
  15. 🌿 Strengthening climate data systems, partnerships, and early warning mechanisms.
  16. 🌿 Developing coordination between mountains and oceans for climate risk assessment and monitoring systems.
  17. 🌿 Ensuring climate justice by adopting evidence-based solutions.
  18. 🌿 Ensuring active participation of children, youth, women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly.
  19. 🌿 Establishing a multilateral international platform on mountains and climate change.
