Tenure and Work Experience at Pratappur Rural Municipality
I joined Pratappur Rural Municipality on 2076 Paush 3 as an Assistant Fifth Level Officer in the Administrative Service, recommended by the Public Service Commission, Butwal Office. My first day at the office was filled with excitement, curiosity, and apprehension as I crossed the Nepal-India Gandak Canal to reach the administrative office in Pratappur-9, Belatari, marking the start of my government service career.
Excitement stemmed from the fact that this was my first office posting. Curiosity and apprehension arose because Pratappur, bordering India, had unfamiliar languages, culture, lifestyle, environment, and working procedures for me.
After a formal appointment and posting by Chief Administrative Officer Ghanshyam Gaha through then Administrative Branch Chief Ganesh Prasad B.K., I became part of Pratappur Rural Municipality. I sincerely thank all, including the late Chairperson Rajkumar Sharma, Vice-Chairperson Anju Kumari Chaudhary, all nine Ward Chairpersons, and Ward Members, for providing a supportive and collaborative working environment.
During my two-year tenure, I had the opportunity to work under the guidance of three Chief Administrative Officers: Ghanshyam Gaha, Bhesraj Khanal, and Ram Prasad Sapkota. Their work experience and management styles offered me valuable learning opportunities. I gained hands-on experience as Chief of the Personnel Unit, Revenue Unit, Social Development Branch, and Ward Secretary. I am grateful to all colleagues across various branches, units, and ward offices for their cooperation and support.
